A child-centric curriculum
In alignment with National Education Policy 2020, we adopt a modern approach to education and structure the school stages to focus on holistic, sustainable development. While the early childhood years focus on the play way method, the transition in the preparatory stage is marked by a shift from informal, play-based learning to a more structured and exploratory approach. While kindergarten focuses on fostering foundational skills through play, songs and activities, the preparatory stage introduces a balance of playful learning and academic readiness. At this stage, there is an emphasis on developing literacy, numeracy and cognitive abilities through activities that encourage exploration, observation and experimentation. The pedagogy also begins to integrate guided instruction with collaborative and hands-on learning, ensuring a smooth progression from free play to goal-oriented tasks. This gradual shift supports children in adapting to increased focus, discipline and learning expectations in a nurturing and engaging environment.
The pedagogical transition from middle to senior school reflects the developmental needs of students as they mature intellectually and emotionally. In middle school, teaching methods emphasize fostering curiosity, collaboration and foundational critical thinking through project-based learning and interdisciplinary approaches. As students move to senior school, the pedagogy becomes more specialized and rigorous, focusing on advanced conceptual understanding, analytical skills and independent learning. This transition equips students with enhanced research abilities, problem-solving techniques and effective time management. Additionally, communication, adaptability and self-regulation skills are honed, preparing them for the complexities of academic pursuits, competitive environments and real-world challenges. The evolving pedagogy ensures students are not only academically proficient but also resilient and self-reliant learners
Assessment
framework
At the kindergarten stage assessment is continuous and carried out in an informal setting. All aspects of development-Mental, Physical, Social and Emotional are recorded according to age-appropriate rubrics.
At the preparatory stage a bi-monthly written assessment is introduced to proactively undertake remediation and bring about concept clarity. To make the assessments robust a multi-pronged approach of various tools of assessment is used to provide an opportunity for holistic assessment. Students are also introduced to peer and self-assessment to help monitor the trajectory of their own learning. At middle and senior school the assessment pattern will be as per CBSE guidelines.
